The Babylonian Talmud is one of Judaism’s greatest achievements, a compendium of inquiry, argument, and interpretation across centuries.  This five-week course will explore this library of thought using five great Talmudic texts in English translation.  We will deepen our encounter using the writings of Emmanuel Levinas and other modern thinkers.  All are welcome regardless of background or knowledge.
